Usage and Dosing
- Ceftriaxone là cephalosporin thế hệ 3 dùng đường tiêm, có hoạt tính trên nhiều trực khuẩn gram âm hiếu khí, đồng thời có hoạt tính trên Strep. pneumoniae, N. meningitidis và MSSA.
- Đáng chú ý là thiếu hoạt tính trên Listeria spp., enterococci, MRSA, P. aeruginosa và B. fragilis.
- Ceftriaxone dễ bị bất hoạt bởi beta-lactamase phổ mở rộng (ESBLs) và cephalosporinase cảm ứng qua nhiễm sắc thể.
- Độ nhạy với ceftriaxone là chỉ dấu hợp lý cho độ nhạy với các cephalosporin uống thế hệ tiên tiến như cefuroxime, cefdinir, cefpodoxime và cefixime, đặc biệt đối với các loài Enterobacterales phổ biến có nguy cơ sinh AmpC thấp như E. coli, K. pneumoniae, K. oxytoca và P. mirabilis.
- Một nghiên cứu thí điểm gợi ý lợi ích lâm sàng và vi khuẩn học của truyền liên tục 2 g/ngày so với dùng ngắt quãng ở bệnh nhân nặng bị nhiễm khuẩn huyết cần điều trị >4 ngày.
- Trong một nghiên cứu dược động học quần thể, dùng dưới da ở bệnh nhân >65 tuổi liên quan đến PK/PD và yêu cầu liều tương đương dùng IV.
